Bowen's Special Day

Bowen was blessed yesterday by Brian and it was a wonderful blessing! What a neat experience to hear Brian give our little Bowen a very nice blessing. It was such a great day to have all our friends and family come and support our little guy. During the blessing i could hear Bowen cooing. Brian said that Bowen was staring at Brian and smiling the entire time! What a cute little boy. Afterward, we all came back to our place for lunch. Thanks to all the family and friends that made special efforts to come!

Bowen and Livy took a nap in Bowen's crib...only for five minutes! I think they woke eachother up. Brian went in to check on them and Bowen was screaming while Livy was just looking around. So brian turned the mobile on and they were happy again. what little babies!!!

Halloween Fun!

Fall is such a wonderful time of year! It gets me excited for all the fun holidays ahead. So this week we have done some fun things: carved pumpkins, took pictures of Bowen in his little Halloween costume, made fun foods such as pumpkin cookies, pumpkin roll, Dinner in a Pumpkin, and pumpkin seeds. I love being a stay at home mom and feeling all domestic!!

Thanks to the Grandmas!

Grandma Frei gave Bowen this cute little Beanie for Halloween and Grandma Hansen gave him these studly little shoes. Oh he is so spoiled and loved! Thanks grandmas!! he loves you both!

Today Bowen was being so cute! I noticed that when he smiles there is a little dimple on his right side and when i would poke it he would laugh! It was so stinkin cute. I tried to catch it on video to show Bri, but he was being shy. The video is still cute. We love him!

Trip to Rupert

We went to Rupert for the conference weekend and it was Bowen's first time there! We had a great time! Bowen met both his great grandma and grandpa Hansen and Critchfield, saw his first snow (yes, it did snow already there), played with his aunts and uncles, saw the potatoe farm during harvest, met his second cousins Marshall and Tyson, and was such a happy baby. What a fun trip!

And he also enjoyed the car ride there and back as you can see with his little smirk!

Can't Get Enough of You BABY

Bowen is now 3 weeks old and life as a mother has been great! Brian and I absoltely adore him! I feel like I spend my day just looking at him and being so entertained. He is so alert and bright eyed during the day. He is so curious and looks all around the place. His cry is even cute..he makes the perfect "waa" sound and it just melts my heart. After he yawns he makes this cute little sound and it makes Bri and I laugh every time. We have nick-named him "rooter-tooter" cause he has the strongest rooting reflex even when he is not hungry, and he toots all the time! When he is nursing, he ALWAYS puts one hand by his eye and the other by his cheek. Oh its so cute! The sound of the vacuum puts him right to sleep. He is just a bundle of joy and we can't get enough of him!

Baby Bowen is here!

Bowen David Hansen was born last week! 8lbs 5oz and 21 inches long! We love him so so much and can't believe how incredibly blessed we are to have a perfectly healthy child. Brian and I are loving every moment of parenthood and we couldn't have asked for anything more perfect than Bowen! He is named after Brian's great grandparents last name and his middle name is after my dad, people we love so much!

Ok so he is a spitting image of his dad, but I will take credit for those cute chubby cheeks which I had when I was a baby!

This was Bowen and Livy Cheesman meeting for the first time. She screamed, gave him a few wacks, and he just sat there and took in her attitude. We were all laughing so hard!We love you Bowen!
